I don't think he has Verstappen's pace but his ability to look after his tyres would bring him back up there. He'd be an asset.

No doubting Vettels pace but when things go against him he seems to lose the plot. And things would go against him if he was up against Verstappen.

Massive issue that the car is designed around Verstappen, IMO. It's no surprise that numerous team-mates have struggled in the cars. Perez does seem the best bet though - flying in the Merc today.

Perez just cruised up behind Ricciardo and got past. Stroll struggling behind him. Big difference in talent.

Ah true. Might change their mind if Perez is taken off them, though. Stroll is pish man - he's going to get caught by Norris here if he isn't careful.

Another thing to think about - why would you go to RP if you were Vettel, etc? When they weren't taking inspiration from Mercedes, they were essentially the middle of the pack.
