What was that from Dubois

Was at the Jones Jr v Joe Calzaghe fight at the Garden in 2008 which turned out to be the latters final pro fight. Difficult to believe 12 years on at the age of 51 Jones is still willing to get in a ring regardless of how much he needs the $. Anyone know what boxing authority gave the ok for this fight?

Tyson v Jones has been a punch and hold fest so far.

Tyson seems in better shape than Jones considering he's been out the ring longer and 3 years older. Almost appears as if he's been instructed not to punch him above the shoulders.
Think Tyson won every round, pretty amazing shape for a 54 year old. Had Jones winded throughout but seemed like there was definitely some pre arranged agreement about him not going for many head shots as Jones had nothing.
Some classy comments from Jones saying "I tell you what that's a bucket list thing taking body shots from him, don't let it fool you, they hurt," which makes sense he looked gassed and winded early.

The last few rounds were better, but it did look like there was a no knockout rule after all ?
I wonder if we'll see more retired fighters doing this now, Tyson wants to keep doing it.

Having watched that I would think Jones should hang the gloves up and look after this family, he was seriously gassed throughout and it was good news just seeing him on two feet afterwards. Tyson though, you get the impression that the training and discipline it brings to his life is probably a really good thing for him. Considering he hadn't been in a ring in 15 years he looked in remarkable shape and it would have been interesting to see if he had been allowed to unleash, exactly what damage he could still do. The body shots are still legit. Can definitely see him have something similar next year. It would be good to have it on an undercard of a legit fight night but finances probably dictate he needs his own purse, I don't know how that works. It was certainly nostalgic viewing and looking at Twitter and social media generally well received and enjoyed by many.

Hope that's the end of it for both of them. Two absolute legends that we don't need to see fighting at 50

Fuck that. I want to see Tyson v Eubank, would be great to see that paedo clown Eubank take a pasting.

It's not even worth watching. No KO and no cuts. No judges either. I'll watch the highlights because it's Tyson and Jones but what a fucking farce.
