Went to that Game of Thrones theme pop-up bar with work chums last night Tony You What

Had to wait over an hour to 'get a table'. Getting a table doesn't mean actually getting a table in there. Getting a table means being allowed in the place. Monty But

The place was absolutely chokka with gimps and weirdos. Monty LewLew

There were people (patrons) in costume. Monty Chuckle

Two ladies were dressed up as medieval wenches with their big fat boobs flopping about the place Monty Ooh

£8 for an utterly rancid rum cocktail that was clearly just shitey rum with something to make it poo coloured.

A few pictures on the walls and a few banners. Game of Thrones on the TV. That was it.

It is in the sub-basement of the bar that used to be called Spitfire on Dublin Street. The actual bar at basement level is dece and had some good beers - we had a table there whilst we were waiting. Cant remember what it is called now.

I thought GOT was pretty mainstream so didn't think it would be that bad.

It is mainstream but any normal person is going to avoid it.

People in work clothes or civvies.

Suppose I should have anticipated it but I didn't. I will now know to anticipate it for the next themed event I attend.

Was that place not called Spit/Fire? My old boss went there for someone's leaving drinks and came in the next day absolutely seething at how hipster it was.
