Yeah, herein lies the problem with his bullshit statements*. He talks so much shit that, even when his ambiguous (or plain wrong) assertions are pulled up/debated, people get so bogged down in the semantics that he actually gets away relatively unscathed from the real issues with what he's said. The thing is, for a President - especially one who knows words, has the best words - what you say is actually important and will be scrutinised. I don't think you really get to defend yourself as President with "I meant to say this, it's fake news" when what you meant to say is fucking wrong too

Yes. Plenty articles about Trump's "claims" of a "terrorist attack" in Sweden. Most of them all smug that no such incident occurred, but not bothered that no such claim was made.

Not seeing these retractions from the mainstream media. Obviously there's reports of his explanation, but most are "this is how trump explained why he claimed there was a terrorist attack in sweden when there wasn't" which completely misses the point.

That definitely sounds like someone who's heard what he actually meant but still believes he was referring to a terrorist attack in Sweden.

Addressing a rally on Saturday, he had said, "look at what's happening last night in Sweden", as he listed parts of Europe hit by terrorist attacks.
With no such incident reported in Sweden on Friday, the country asked the US administration for an explanation.


They then go on to address Trumps explanation.

Perfectly reasonable surely. Do you want them to apologise for reporting what he actually said? It's not their fault he can't speak.
