Yeah I was just reporting what is being said on the news this morning. It's an interesting development that they may have known each other and you wonder if Chauvin had singled him out previously. I think it's fairly clear from the number of controversial and inflammatory incidents this particular policeman has been involved in there should have been serious question marks against him even before this horrific death.

The consensus seems to be that the Democrats are going to need to bin Biden and bring in a different opponent. He just doesn't seem capable anymore and the idea of him going head to head with Trump in what would be physically taxing months of campaigning seems improbable. Whether the Coronavirus and now these toxic scenes in cities around the country impact things is definitely possible but at the moment Trump is still a favourite with the bookmakers.

The woman Biden wanted for VP, Amy Klobuchar, was Attorney General for Minnesota and declined to bring charges against police offices caught up in incidents against the public on multiple occasions. Chauvin was one of them. The extent to which public figures will protect police officers from the consequences they should face is sickening.
