When I was at uni I came home one day to find the fridge empty. My flatmate had tried to 'de-ice (?)' the fridge by chipping away the ice at the back with a kitchen knife. Ended up puncturing it and absolutely fucking it. Landlord refused to replace it as it had been stabbed with a knife and we had to fork out for a new one
